AWE 2026: Tesla showcases third-generation humanoid robot

Today, the Appliance & Electronics World Expo (AWE) 2026 opened in Shanghai.

Tesla showcased the Tesla Cybertruck and a humanoid robot, with its upcoming third-generation humanoid model drawing particular attention.

The robot is Tesla’s first version designed for large-scale mass production, with production planned to begin by the end of 2026.

The company expects the cost per unit to be kept below $20,000.

A long-term capacity target of up to one million units has been set.
