Tencent’s WeChat launches ClawBot plugin supporting OpenClaw framework

WeChat has launched the ClawBot plugin, compatible with the OpenClaw agent framework, to bring an AI assistant directly into chat.

Users can add the plugin in settings and use it for text, image, video, and file tasks in a multimodal experience.

Tencent also unveiled a broader Workshop ecosystem, spanning cloud and local tools such as Lighthouse, WorkBuddy, and QClaw.

The rollout is still gradual and currently limited to individual users.
