Google Search will now tell you if an image is AI-generated and talk about it in detail

Google is expanding SynthID watermark checks to everyday products, including Search, Chrome, Lens, Circle to Search, AI Mode, and Pixel devices.

Users will be able to verify whether images were created or edited by AI, starting with image support first.

Google is also broadening C2PA metadata support and working with other tech companies to improve cross-platform verification.

The move is meant to boost transparency and help people spot deepfakes and other manipulated media more easily.
