Control Resonant dev Remedy didn't use other AAA games for inspiration, because "nobody is taking risks"

Remedy says Control Resonant will leave the Oldest House behind and expand into a warped Manhattan.

The studio says it deliberately avoided using other AAA games as references, aiming for a more distinctive direction.

Instead, Remedy drew inspiration from art, film, science visualization, and nature to ground the game’s supernatural look.

The sequel will also add more enemy variety, new traversal options, and multiple factions in the world.
