NASA’s $4 Billion Roman Space Telescope Heads To Florida For Launch

NASA will move the completed Roman Space Telescope from Goddard to Kennedy Space Center on the Pegasus barge for final launch preparations.

The telescope is slated to launch as early as September atop SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy from Launch Complex 39A.

Roman will use wide-field, Hubble-quality imaging and gravitational microlensing to probe dark energy, cosmic evolution, and exoplanets.

If successful, the mission could greatly expand exoplanet discoveries and deepen understanding of how the universe evolves.
