Google’s first new smart speaker in six years might finally have a release date

Best Buy Canada briefly listed June 25, 2026 as the release date for Google’s Gemini-powered Home Speaker, then pulled the page.

The listing appears to be a real leak rather than a placeholder, pointing to a possible launch timeline for Google’s first new smart speaker in six years.

The speaker was announced in October 2025 and is expected to cost $99.99 in the U.S.

It will reportedly include Gemini-based voice features, smart home controls, stereo pairing, and availability in 19 countries.
