Nvidia, Microsoft, and others launch AI alliance after unprecedented OpenAI cyberattack

NVIDIA, Microsoft, SpaceX and other major firms launched the Open Secure AI Alliance to build open tools for AI and cyber defense.

The group will focus on securing software, AI agents and critical infrastructure with open models, identity controls, logging and other defensive infrastructure.

Backers say open, inspectable tools can improve incident response and reduce reliance on closed vendors in complex multi-vendor environments.

The alliance reflects growing concern that current cyber defense tools are not enough for increasingly autonomous AI systems.
