Apple Pay is getting even better with four new features

Apple announced four Apple Pay upgrades: a redesigned checkout flow in iOS 27, American Express Membership Rewards redemption at checkout, Tap to Share for in-store purchases, and debit card reloads in Apple Wallet.

The new checkout design is meant to streamline payment steps and make Apple Pay easier to use online and in apps.

Users will also be able to redeem AmEx points during checkout, share payment details in-store with Tap to Share, and add money to supported debit cards directly in Wallet or at checkout.

Together, the changes make Apple Pay more flexible for both consumers and merchants, with faster payments and more options for rewards and balance management.
