Five years later, Windows 11 brings back much-missed taskbar options (and more)

A new Windows 11 Insider Preview build restores taskbar placement on any screen edge, including left and right docking.

Users can now save different taskbar settings based on position, improving flexibility for multi-monitor setups.

The update also includes other taskbar refinements that are still in progress, showing Microsoft is addressing long-standing usability gaps.
