Sony Just Raised PS Plus Prices In A Way Seemingly Designed To Make Everyone Mad

Sony has raised PlayStation Plus prices for Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers in some regions, including the U.S.

The new rates took effect on May 21 and mainly hit new customers and some returning subscribers.

Most existing annual subscribers were largely exempt, but the change still adds to backlash over subscription costs.

Because PS Plus is required for online play on most PS5 and PS4 games, the higher fees affect many players.
