Dutch ecommerce site Bol.com investigates claims of a data breach

Bol.com is investigating claims that about 400,000 customer records were offered for sale, but says it has seen no sign of a breach.

The alleged dataset is said to contain personal and account details, based on a dark web threat intelligence report.

If authentic, the data could enable phishing, account abuse, and identity theft.

If not, the case shows how underground market claims can be misleading or based on old data.
