Sakana claims its AI model router Fugu Ultra v1.1 now beats Fable 5 without even including it in the pool

Sakana AI released Fugu Ultra v1.1, saying it improves routing performance by up to 7.9 points over v1.0.

The company claims it now beats Anthropic's Fable 5 on several benchmarks, even though Fable 5 is not in the router's model pool.

Sakana also added a Claude Code-compatible terminal endpoint and kept pricing unchanged.

The results remain unverified by independent testing.
