The Broadcasting and Media Communications Commission marked its first year by reporting key policy results to the Cabinet.

Since April, it has held full meetings, handled numerous legal revisions and sanctions, and completed the renewal of 152 broadcast licenses.

It also finalized enforcement rules tied to the Broadcasting 3 Act, secured a joint broadcast for the North America World Cup, and advanced measures against false information and illegal spam.

The commission unveiled win-win plans for home shopping and is pushing to establish the Korea Broadcasting and Media Communications Promotion Agency.
