Japanese Airport Trialing Humanoid Robots as Baggage Handlers

Japan Airlines and GMO AI & Robotics will start a baggage-handling robot trial at Haneda Airport in May.

The experiment will use Unitree humanoid robots and is planned to continue through 2028.

The goal is to ease labor shortages in busy airport operations and help reduce baggage damage or delays.
