Grab a seat: Google's next Android Show premieres soon, and there's major hype

Google reportedly posted and then removed a teaser for the next Android Show: I/O Edition, set for May 12.

The company called it one of the biggest years for Android, suggesting major software announcements are coming.

The pre-I/O event is expected to focus on Android updates and could preview Android 17, Gemini, Material 3 Expressive, and Chrome changes ahead of I/O 2026.
