YouTube removes dedicated ‘Subscriptions’ tab from mobile app in new test

YouTube is testing a mobile app redesign that removes the dedicated Subscriptions tab from the bottom nav.

In the test, Subscriptions moves into a top selector alongside Home, and a Create-labeled control is added.

The experiment is limited to some users and does not appear to be a full rollout yet.

If expanded, the change could make the Subscriptions feed less immediate to reach on phones.
