Pokémon TCG Store Owner Offers $6,000 Reward for Capturing Card Thief, But Only if They’re Apprehended ‘Alive’ and ‘Breathing’

A card shop in Seki, Gifu Prefecture, Japan offered a 1 million yen reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect who stole Pokémon and One Piece cards.

Kaitorip Game said its store was burglarized on July 22 and large amounts of inventory were taken.

The owner posted CCTV footage on X and later clarified the suspect should be brought in alive and breathing.

The thief had not been caught at the time of reporting, underscoring growing theft concerns in the collectible card market.
