Google Wallet redesign launches as Google Pay lets you verify desktop purchases on Android

Google rolled out a redesigned Wallet app on Android with a new homepage, a searchable hub, and full-screen, time-sensitive cards.

The update also adds developer features like digital receipts, contactless loyalty enrollment, live updates, and digital ID verification.

Google Pay is getting cross-device purchase verification on phones for desktop checkout, improving security and compliance.

The new payment flow aims to meet stronger authentication rules such as Strong Customer Authentication in the EU and UK.
