Nvidia DLSS 5 is "gen AI bullsh*t" that "looks like sh*t" says Dusk developer New Blood

Nvidia DLSS 5 faced criticism received pushback from developers, gamers, and industry figures after the GTC demo.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang defended the technology said much of the criticism of DLSS 5 is incorrect and that calling it a 2D AI filter is misguided.

Dave Oshry called out the product naming said Nvidia hid generative AI behind the DLSS name and urged consumers to 'vote with their wallets'.

David Szymanski expressed agreement with criticism said DLSS 5 'looks shit' and that its lighting and contrast harms realism in the demo video.

New Blood reported prior implementation experience stated they integrated DLSS and RTX into Amid Evil and found the process difficult; Nvidia provided free GPUs.
