Apple just released a new AirPods Pro 3 firmware update

Apple has started rolling out AirPods Pro 3 firmware 8B40, replacing last month’s 8B39 build.

The update arrives ahead of iOS 26.5, but Apple has not yet published release notes.

It may bring performance or reliability improvements, though no changes have been confirmed.

Apple may later expand the firmware to AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4.
