ASML CEO says Elon Musk is 'very serious' about the TeraFab chipmaking megaproject, confirms direct talks — Musk targets $119 billion Texas semiconductor facility

ASML CEO Christophe Fouquet said Elon Musk is seriously pursuing TeraFab, a Texas-based chip megafactory concept combining logic, memory, and packaging.

Fouquet said SpaceX has filed for a large related facility and Intel is involved, while the project could grow into a major $119 billion-scale effort.

He said AI demand is keeping global semiconductor capacity tight, reinforcing ASML’s role as the key supplier of EUV and upcoming High NA EUV tools.

Fouquet also criticized proposed U.S. restrictions on ASML chip sales to China, warning they could further distort the market.
