Japanese Charts: Switch 2 Sneaks In Some Huge Numbers Ahead Of The Price Rise

Famitsu’s latest Japan charts show strong momentum for Nintendo Switch 2 software and hardware.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book debuted at No. 2 with nearly 40,000 units, while Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream stayed No. 1.

Switch 2 sold 247,880 units for the week, a rise likely driven by buyers rushing ahead of Japan’s May 25 price increase.

The PS5 Digital Edition climbed to second place among consoles, but Switch 2 still led overall hardware sales.
