Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag remake was previewed as a faithful but meaningfully upgraded version of the 2013 original.

The hands-on impression highlighted smoother parkour, improved player control, and a more modern combat system.

The remake keeps the pirate adventure intact, but does not include the modern-day segments or the Freedom Cry expansion.
