Meta signs the EU code of conduct on transparency for AI-generated content

Meta said it will sign the EU’s voluntary AI Act code of practice on transparency for AI-generated content.

The company already detects and labels AI-generated images on Instagram, Facebook, and Threads.

Meta is also developing tools to identify AI-made content more broadly.

The move supports clearer disclosure standards while aiming to avoid unnecessary regulatory complexity.
