Sharp equips TVs with AI character for conversations and program recommendations

Sharp will launch “AQUOS AI” on May 23 for AQUOS TVs, letting users chat with AI characters on screen and get program recommendations.

The service also offers usage help and viewing suggestions tailored to a user’s mood, aiming to make TV interaction more conversational.

A free tier will be available, along with monthly subscription plans based on usage.

Support will roll out gradually to compatible models, including AQUOS XLED and AQUOS OLED.
