Blue Origin prepares to reuse New Glenn booster in bid to challenge SpaceX

Blue Origin plans to launch a previously flown New Glenn first-stage booster on Sunday to prove it can be reused.

The mission will also carry AST SpaceMobile’s BlueBird 7 satellite, combining reuse testing with a commercial payload.

A successful flight would be a major step toward routine first-stage reuse for Blue Origin and a stronger challenge to SpaceX.

It could also support lower-cost, higher-frequency launches needed for satellite networks and direct-to-cell services.
