You Can Now Clone Yourself on YouTube With an AI Avatar Tool

YouTube is rolling out a new AI avatar clone tool for creators.

The tool can turn a creator's likeness into an avatar for YouTube Shorts.

Only the user can create and control the avatar; no one else can use it.

If remix is enabled, other users can remix the video, but they cannot change the avatar.

Deleting the avatar also removes the related selfie video and voice recording data, and Shorts using it are labeled AI-generated content.
