Huawei projected to lead China’s AI chip market share this year...up 60% year over year

FT reports Huawei is on track to become China’s top AI chip vendor this year, driven by large orders from major Chinese tech firms.

Huawei’s AI chip revenue is projected to rise to about $12 billion, more than 60% higher than a year earlier.

The company is trying to offset its performance gap with Nvidia by targeting inference demand and using its own networking technology.

Nvidia’s return to the China market remains delayed by regulatory hurdles and sales restrictions.
