Intel is now making iPhone chips for Apple, per report

Intel has reportedly started producing some Apple chips for iPhone, iPad, and Mac using the 18A-P process.

The initial run is focused on low-end and legacy chips, not Apple’s most advanced processors.

Ming-Chi Kuo says larger testing and production ramps are planned between 2026 and 2028.

The move could give Apple a second chip supplier and slightly reduce reliance on TSMC, while Intel remains a secondary source.
