Anthropic Eyes UK Startup’s Fusion Tech Promising 100x Faster AI Inference at One-Tenth the Cost of NVIDIA’s Groq

Anthropic is reportedly in early talks with UK startup Fractile about its SRAM-based AI inference chip technology.

Fractile says its Memory Compute Fusion Architecture could make inference up to 100x faster and 10x cheaper, though it has not yet built test chips.

Anthropic already relies on NVIDIA, Google, Amazon and a Broadcom deal, and is also said to be weighing AMD for future capacity.

If the discussions progress, Anthropic could diversify its compute supply and lower AI operating costs with more specialized hardware.
