New humanoid robot factory in China claims it can make one unit every 30 minutes

A new Guangdong factory by Leju Robotics and Dongfang Precision began operations on March 29, 2026.

The facility can produce up to 10,000 humanoid robots per year and outputs one unit about every 30 minutes.

The production line has 24 assembly stages, 77 inspection checkpoints and uses automated guided vehicles for flexible model switching.

Each robot undergoes 41 simulated work-condition tests before leaving the line, while software remains a deployment challenge.
