Conker, Charles Martinet’s Donkey Kong Voice, And The Other Irresistibly Weird Splendors Of E3 In The ’90s

The Video Game History Foundation received a donated archive with more than a dozen hours of uncut 1990s CES and E3 footage.

The tapes include rare early demos, unreleased projects, and trade-show material for games like Mario 64, Tomb Raider, Ocarina of Time, and Earthbound 64.

One standout clip shows Charles Martinet performing as Donkey Kong during a Nintendo presentation, offering a strange early glimpse of the character’s voice work.
