Synology announces PAS7700, an active-active NVMe enterprise storage system

Synology unveiled the PAS7700, an enterprise storage system built for high availability, ultra-low latency, and scalability.

The 4U all-flash platform uses dual controllers and 48 NVMe SSD bays in an active-active design for simultaneous reads, writes, and real-time sync.

With expansion units, the raw capacity can scale up to 1.65PB, while performance is rated at under 1ms latency, up to 2 million IOPS, and 30GB/s throughput.

It also supports multiple file and block protocols, including SMB, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, and NVMe-oF.
