Cohere releases Command A+, an MoE multimodal AI built for agent tasks, a high-performance open-source model for enterprises that can be deployed in-house

Cohere open-sourced Command A+, a 218B-parameter sparse MoE enterprise model built for reasoning, multimodal input, tool use, and 48-language support.

The model is optimized for self-hosted deployment and comes in BF16, FP8, and W4A4 quantized versions to cut hardware and latency requirements.

Cohere says Command A+ outperforms earlier Command A models on benchmarks while running faster for enterprise inference workflows.

The release targets sovereign and enterprise AI use cases, including agentic workflows and customer-managed environments.
