Meta acquires Assured Robot Intelligence to accelerate humanoid robot push

Meta acquired Assured Robot Intelligence, bringing its robotics AI team into Meta Superintelligence Labs.

ARI’s founders said the startup was aiming at physical AGI and sees humanoid robots as the most practical path for general-purpose robotics.

Meta is also building its own robot hardware, sensors, and software, with plans to license the platform to other companies.

The deal deepens Meta’s push into humanoid robotics and raises competition with Tesla, Google, and Amazon.
