Overwatch slaps a loot box band-aid on its disappointing tenth anniversary event, promising more later

Blizzard is expanding Overwatch’s 10th anniversary rewards after backlash over the event’s thin cosmetic offerings.

The studio says loot box rewards will increase in weeks two and three, and players will get a guaranteed legendary bundle.

Aaron Keller also promised a larger, season-long celebration with more rewards later this year.

The update suggests Blizzard is trying to answer criticism that the anniversary event felt underwhelming.
