Philips Hue smart lights will soon be able to react to live sports events in real time

Signify announced Sports Live for Philips Hue and Philips Smart Lighting, syncing lights to live soccer match events.

The feature will trigger team colors and automatic lighting reactions for key moments like goals, using real-time match data.

Rollout begins in May, with a broader launch in June ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

It also includes delay compensation, so lighting effects stay aligned with the broadcast.

The move expands smart home lighting into live sports entertainment without extra hardware or third-party services.
