Microsoft to Refresh Windows 11 UI and Usability in April Update

Microsoft will roll out an April update to improve Windows 11's design consistency and usability across the OS.

The update targets Settings pages, account dialogs, accessibility features, pen settings, and voice input in File Explorer.

Narrator is being updated to work with Copilot on all devices, and a preview build tests haptic feedback for input devices.

Microsoft says it is migrating Windows to a modern UX while avoiding breaks to developer extensions, and also listed performance and memory fixes.

TechRadar noted high RAM use in the Copilot app and said it remains to be seen how fully Microsoft will implement the promised changes.
