Microsoft releases the open-source "SQL MCP Server," supporting simultaneous connections to PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and more

Microsoft has open-sourced SQL MCP Server as part of Data API builder.

The release adds Model Context Protocol support alongside existing REST and GraphQL interfaces.
