Mistral AI acquires Viennese physical AI startup Emmi AI

Mistral AI has acquired Vienna-based Emmi AI, a startup that builds models for simulating physical processes such as airflow, heat transfer, and material stress.

The purchase price was not disclosed. Emmi AI had previously raised 15 million euros.

Mistral said the deal will strengthen its industrial AI work for customers in aerospace, automotive, and semiconductor sectors.

The acquisition expands Mistral’s physics-based simulation capabilities and could help it attract more enterprise clients.
