Meta says AI is making it easier to build new apps — and more are coming

Meta says large language models are speeding up app development and improving recommendations across its products.

The company has several new consumer apps in progress after recent launches like Forum, Seller, and Instagram Instants.

Meta pointed to Threads as proof that AI-driven recommendations can help a new app gain traction quickly.

The strategy could revive Meta’s standalone app pipeline after earlier experiments from the NPE Team and Creative Labs failed to scale.
