OpenAI is reportedly preparing legal action against Apple; it wouldn’t be the first partner to feel burned

OpenAI is reportedly weighing legal action against Apple over their ChatGPT integration on the iPhone and Siri.

Bloomberg says OpenAI hired an outside law firm and may consider a breach-of-contract notice.

The dispute centers on the integration being buried in Apple’s software and failing to deliver expected visibility or subscriptions.

Any escalation could be delayed until after OpenAI’s separate trial with Elon Musk.

The report also says Apple has concerns about OpenAI’s privacy practices and hardware ambitions.
