Mercari bans listings of liquid-integrated smoking devices whose ingredient labeling cannot be confirmed, likely with nicotine-containing e-cigarettes in mind

Mercari has added liquid-integrated smoking devices and disposable types to its prohibited and removable listings if Japanese ingredient labeling or a domestic seller cannot be verified.

The move appears aimed at curbing resale of nicotine-containing e-cigarettes and privately imported products through the marketplace.

It is expected to help block unclear or potentially illegal smoking products from circulating, reducing health and compliance risks.
