Do not enter personal information into Google Search ‘AI Mode’ — Rikkyo University and others issue campus warnings

Rikkyo University and Hosei University warned campus users not to enter personal or confidential university information into Google Search's AI Mode.

The schools said submitted content may be stored by Google and used to train AI systems.

They instead pointed students and staff to Gemini and NotebookLM in university-managed environments.

The move highlights the need to manage what is entered into AI tools to reduce the risk of information leaks.
