Blaze announces Evercade Nexus handheld, including enhanced versions of Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie

Blaze Entertainment announced the Evercade Nexus handheld; pre-orders start April 1 and release is scheduled for October 2026.

The Nexus, successor to the Evercade EXP‑R, adds twin analogue sticks (first for Evercade devices), wireless headphone support, and EverSync local multiplayer.

It is compatible with more than 80 Evercade cartridges released since 2020, offering a total of over 700 retro games.

The system ships with a new cartridge containing enhanced versions of Banjo‑Kazooie and Banjo‑Tooie, featuring performance and graphical improvements including widescreen, an overhauled twin‑stick camera, D‑Pad control support and unlockable content.

Priced at $199.99 / £169.99, the package includes the console, the Banjo‑Kazooie Double Pack cartridge, a USB‑C to USB‑A charging cable and a quick start guide; Funstock will sell a 2,000‑unit Nexus 64 limited edition with an exclusive hard shell EVA case, screen protector pack, collectible box and numbered certificate; TATE mode and a downloadable Indie Heroes Game of the Month return.
