Centene Latest Health Insurer To Shakeup Management Ranks

Centene created two new senior executive positions and named Daniel Finke and Michael Carson to those roles.

The hires will report to CEO Sarah London and give Carson expanded oversight of Medicare and specialty businesses.

Centene reported a fourth-quarter loss of over $1 billion and said its Obamacare enrollment dropped by more than 1.5 million.

The changes come as insurers face rising medical costs and policy changes after federal subsidies for ACA enrollees were not extended.
