Japan’s Haneda airport deploys Unitree’s G1 humanoid robot to work alongside humans

Japan Airlines has started a trial at Haneda Airport using Unitree’s G1 humanoid robots for baggage and cargo handling on the tarmac.

The robots will work alongside human ground crews in a test that runs through 2028.

The pilot highlights how airlines are turning to humanoid robots to address labor shortages and reduce physical strain in airport operations.
