'Monitoring students on X' false post impersonating a university employee; Niigata University says, 'There is no such employee'

An X account posing as a Niigata University staff member falsely claimed it was monitoring student accounts.

Niigata University denied the claim, saying no such employee exists and no such monitoring took place.

The poster later admitted the post was false and deleted it.

The university issued a warning to ease student concerns and directed inquiries to its student support and PR offices.
