HomePod Mini Is Now 2,000 Days Old

Apple's HomePod mini hit 2,000 days since its October 2020 debut, remaining on its original hardware.

The device launched at $99 and uses the Apple S5 chip, with features like Thread, Ultra Wideband, and a four-microphone array.

Apple added new colors in 2021 but has not revised core hardware since launch.

Reports say a second-generation HomePod mini is ready but on hold pending a revamped Siri expected with iOS 27.

The next model is widely expected to include a newer chip and connectivity upgrades.
