CarPlay Ultra coming to these cars, according to Apple

Apple’s CarPlay Ultra is now rolling out first to Aston Martin owners in the U.S. and Canada.

Apple says several automakers still plan to support the next-generation in-car interface, with Hyundai possibly among the next launches.

Other brands have reportedly dropped out, making automaker commitment the key factor in how fast CarPlay Ultra spreads.

The rollout marks a major step for Apple’s automotive software strategy beyond the initial Aston Martin release.
